Visualizing a Year
In 2019, the girls and I strung one bead on pipe cleaner every day. We changed colors at the end of every month (and counted to make sure we hand't missed a day). It made a great visual for Meghan (5 yo) to understand how days come together to make months and months come together to make years.
Also impressive, is how those little tiny beads, when strung together, made a long beautiful rainbow as tall as Meghan. It really made me think of how each small day holds value in the big picture of life. Now, as that representation of a year sits on top of a sign in our dining room, it is a reminder to make the most of today because today is a small but valuable part of this beautiful life.
