Sensory Play - Simple Plans for a Water/Sensory Table
Last summer we built Meghan a water table.
She loves water play. She loves sensory play. I knew that if we purchased a water table I wanted one that could be easily cleaned as well as one that was incredibly simple with very few attached toys to encourage creative play. The water tables I liked were not the ones being sold on craigslist or buy/sell/trade pages.
Then I found these directions. With a little bit of PVC, a tub we already owned, and a can of blue spray paint we had a water table for our girl. The original plans do not call for painting, but my husband thought that spray painting would help the table stand up to the UV rays of the sun much better.
I love that this water table can be simply taken apart. It can also store the toys she uses inside the tub when dry and not in use. So simple and easy to use on a regular basis!
For toys, we gave Meghan some squirty bath animals, some water balls, and some dishes. Those simple toys brought hours of fun last summer and I'm excited to see what she will do this summer!!

(this picture was taken the day we put it together - thus it wasn't painted yet)
